While the weather was lamentable, the atmosphere in this away trip to play Bruff RFC in Kilballyowen Park was anything but. UL Bohemian RFC Weekend Fixtures

This weekend’s fixtures kick off with our 18’s playing Mallow under lights on Friday at 8:15pm in UL, based on last weekend’s performance, should be an excellent game. The highlight of Saturday’s action see the women take on their nemesis Railway Union on the 4G at 2:00pm. This has all the makings of a thrilling match as we come to the latter part of the Top 4 section of the competition. Congratulations to our Red Robin Niamh Briggs Named As Ireland Women’s Assistant Coach

The IRFU is delighted to announce the appointment of Niamh Briggs as Ireland Women’s Assistant Coach ahead of the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations. Former Ireland captain Briggs joins Greg McWilliams’ Coaching Team as preparations for the 2022 Championship begin this weekend with a National Screening Camp at the IRFU High Performance Centre. Having won 62 caps for Ireland and been an integral part of two Six Nations-winning sides, including one as captain, Briggs brings a wealth of experience and rugby intellect to the position. UL Bohemian RFC U14s come away with the win against Scariff/St. Marys

The Team travelled to County Clare to play at Scariff against Scariff/St. Marys in the third round of the league. Bohs opened the scoring with a try halfway through the first half through solid defence followed by good forward ball, quick ruck, fix n’ pass through midfield and a fine finish from Ryan Angley showing the acceleration of an E.V. The second try followed a couple of minutes later from a penalty with Kevin Griffin hot stepping off both feet to present well and Caden Smith picking from the base to score through the crease. UL Bohemian Presidents Christmas Message

Dear Robins, It feels like only last week that I wrote to you at the beginning of the season.  Time has flown by and it’s been a roller coaster ride on the pitch and off it.  On the pitch we did not have the best of starts in the AIL, and off it we sadly said goodbye to some dear friends; Past Presidents Eamonn Tobin and Alan Condell, and much-loved UL Bohs under 17 coach and President of Newport Declan Ryan.   However, we’re finishing the year on a high with every reason to be optimistic going into the New Year!…

UL Bohemian RFC Weekend Up coming Fixtures

Following on from some excellent matches last weekend, we are back on the field this weekend. Friday evening sees our local AIL fixture against Old Crescent in Rosbrien at 7:30pm, with our Under 13s having a friendly also in Rosbrien at 7:30pm Saturday sees a busy day on all fronts, with the Women heading to Suttonians for the last WAIL fixture before Christmas in JJ McDowell Park at 5:00pm Our Munster Senior Clubs League at 2:30pm in Annacotty sees us face Old Crescent for the second time this weekend, while Gleeson League takes place in Fitzgerald Park against Thomond also…

UL Bohemian RFC U14s vs St. Senan’s RFC Match Report

With the development league well and truly in the rear-view mirror, Bohs welcomed St. Senan’s to Annacotty in the first League-League game of the season … Both teams gave it their best shot and no doubt were optimistic for the day. Bohs however proved worthy winners with fine run-catch-pass on show. The photos included show the boys working hard to support in attack and get across in defence.
