UL Bohemian RFC U14s come away with the win against Scariff/St. Marys

The Team travelled to County Clare to play at Scariff against Scariff/St. Marys in the third round of the league. Bohs opened the scoring with a try halfway through the first half through solid defence followed by good forward ball, quick ruck, fix n’ pass through midfield and a fine finish from Ryan Angley showing the acceleration of an E.V.

The second try followed a couple of minutes later from a penalty with Kevin Griffin hot stepping off both feet to present well and Caden Smith picking from the base to score through the crease. The third try came from the restart, Ben O’Connell catching well between the tram lines, returning straight and brilliantly releasing Cian Hannan firing up the right wing to score under the posts.

The second half saw a favourable bounce of the ball after a great chase result in several phases of Bohs pick n’ go, the building pressure finishing with Martin Hourigan powering over for the fourth. The home side stuck to the task and halfway through the second half, the home pack had the final say in that part of the discussion over in the corner.

The final try came from a lengthy Bohs visit to the red zone with both backs and forwards involved in multiphase play, amps building culminating in a fine finish in the corner for Gary Slevin. Halfway through the league phase – and the team starting to flow, lots more rugby to play and a bit of stretch in the evenings….Good Stuff Lads.
