Come to our “Give it a Try” nights, taking place each Tuesday from April 23rd to May 28th, 6:30 pm—7:30 pm. Walk-ins are welcome any night. You can pre-register below and get a free T-shirt for your participation.
This is a 6-week camp for girls aged 8-14 years to gain an introduction to rugby skills in a fun environment. Our expert coaches lead the programme, which consists of games and fun rugby sessions that teach the girls the basics of rugby.
Meet other girls your age playing rugby with UL Bohemian RFC, many of whom started with Give it a Try camps in past years.

Answers to frequently asked questions …
How much does it cost?
A registration fee of €10 covers all six weeks, and you will also receive a give-it-a-try T-shirt in recognition of your participation.
I’m having issues registering on Sports-Lomo, what do I do?
If you are experiencing any difficulty simply email us at underage@ulbohemian.com We will happily record your interest and you can page the registration fee of €10 at the field to one of our organisers.
What will I learn?
You will learn ball-handling skills, how to successfully catch and pass a rugby ball and the basic rules of the game. Yes! A few weeks into camp you will also get the opportunity to tackle someone correctly and safely.
Do I need any special equipment?
If you are new to the game, don’t race out to buy new equipment right away. Come along in your t-shirt, shorts or leggings. You might want to wear a light jacket on a chilly or damp evening. Hoodies are not recommended for safety reasons. If you decide to stay, you can consider buying rugby boots or speak with a club official to see if we can connect you with someone passing on some pre-loved gear. Make sure to bring a water bottle! Gum-shields are mandatory.
Do I have to join the club?
While we would love to welcome new girls to our growing teams, there is no obligation to join the club. We simply want you to come along, give it a try, maybe learn some new skills and most of all, enjoy the game of rugby while making new friends.
What if I cannot make it all six weeks?
We want you to have fun; if you miss a week or two, never fear. We will continue to show the skills week to week and you are always welcome to join the fun of rugby at UL Bohemians RFC.
When do I get my T-shirt?
T-shirts were presented last night in recognition of your participation. You can then wear your shirt with pride to signify you did indeed. Give it a try!
