We are very proud of our UL Bohs Under 6’s and Under 7’s players and their recent involvement in reaching out to our local community, to spread happiness during these hard times. Our wonderful under 6’s and under 7’s decided as the youngest members of the rugby club, they would like to support the elderly members of our community during these difficult times that we are all facing.
All of the players and their families put together a very thoughtful care package for each of he 42 residents of The Park Nursing Home in Castletroy. These care packages were put together with a fantastic amount of care and attention for each resident. The care packages included a fabulous range of 6 wooden bird houses (handmade by one of our club players), puzzles, books, 6 signed books by local long-listed author Donal Ryan, candles, lovely letters from the children, and of course, some essential sweets and chocolate goodies! In addition to these fantastic care packages, Supervalu also donated 10 care packages to our collection for the residents of The Park Nursing Home.
A big thank you to all of our under 6’s and under 7’s players and their dedicated families for both showing great support and getting involved in this generous care package collection.
A special thank you goes out to our underage coach, Ian Stephenson, for organising and delivering the care packages directly to the staff at the reception of The Park Nursing Home.
