UL Bohemian RFC win The Annual Pat Lawler Cup Tournament for the first time since 2009

Our U13 boys took part in The Annual Pat Lawler Cup & Shield Tournament last Saturday in Annacotty.  This is a tournament which UL Bohemian RFC host each year to honour of the late Pat Lawler. With over 15 teams participating, Annacotty was buzzing with underage rugby for both boys and girls. UL Bohemian RFC want to thank all the players, coaches, volunteers, underage committee and especially the Lawler family for making the Pat Lawler Tournament a huge success.

We are delighted to report that our boys were undefeated, with a large panel of players all playing exceptionally well throughout the day. We played a strong  Garryowen  team in the final, with little between the sides. The final score 10-5 in our favour.

This is the first time our U13 boys have won this cup in a number of years and it is a testament to the hard work the team have been putting in to our training sessions. The celebration continued the following morning with the team doing a lap of honour at our Sunday morning training session, followed by a convoy of cars with flashing lights and beeping horns throughout the neighbourhood. No pressure on our U12 for next year!!
