This local derby did not fail to be entertaining for rugby fans. Friday night lights always has the potential for a great game and that it was, although our Robins were not the right side of the score line. Young Munster came away with a strong win in the end 34 – 15.
Young Munster got off to a great start scoring 19 unanswered points in the opening 30 minutes. However just before half time winger Jamie McNamara finishing off a well-worked team try that was followed by a penalty from Harry Byrne leaving it 19-8 at half time.
Young Munster came out in the second half the same way they started the first half putting up some early scores on the board to extend the lead over our Robins. UL Bohemian RFC came back into the game scoring a well deserved and well worked try near the end which was converted by Byrne.
UL Bohemian RFC would like to wish the current cup holders the best of luck in the Semi Finals.
