UL Bohemian Senior Men team kicked off the opening game vs Dolphin RFC in Annacotty last Saturday 11th September and it started off as it meant to continue a hard battle. It took us 19 minutes to get on the score board with Harry Byrne slotting a penalty to make it 3 -0.

We continued the pressure and then our first try for us was a penalty try just before half time making it 10-0 to us at half time. Dolphin RFC game out of the blocks strong in the second half and scored a try on 45 minute making it 10-7.

Then to add to the pressure UL Bohemian were given a red card for Colin Ryan at beginning but the team bounced back well with Jamie McNamara scored out wide on 50 mins which Harry Byrne converted leaving it 17-7.

The pressure was not over with a penalty try for Dolphin making it 17 -14 and Ian Condell sin binned leaving us with 13 players. The 13 men kept pushing and following some great offloading our new player Mateo Ibanez scored under the posts making it 25-14. Dolphin RFC was not going sit back and they added another score a converted try with 2 mins remaining making it a nail biting finish. We keep calm and hold out for the win. Final score 24 -21
