After a hard pre-season under the direction of our new Senior Head Coach Tommy O’Donnell we are super excited to be getting out on the pitch to play some rugby this weekend. Its been a long few months without games and our Senior Men`s team lead the way with two fixtures in the Sporting Limerick Charity Cup and The North Munster Transfield Cup
Our opening senior game in the Sporting Limerick Charity Cup takes place on 4th September in Nenagh at 14:30 were we take on Nenagh Ormond RFC. Nenagh away is always a tricky assignment and as this is a knock out cup game this should make for a great contest.
Then on Sunday 5th, our senior men’s take on local rivals Thomond RFC in Annacotty at 14:30 in the North Munster Transfield Cup.
Cathal Sheridan Director of Rugby said
“It’s very reassuring to have that buzz back around the place again. For us on a coaching side, it’s been a lot of fun. Challenging, but enjoyable all the same. From the players standpoint, you can see it in them at training, they are just excited to get back out playing ball and hitting things again.
It’s been a while coming, but this season will no doubt be a memorable one”
