UL Bohemian Women’s Rugby enjoys a long and illustrious history as one of Ireland’s most dominant Teams since its founding in 2001-2002, as a result of strong interest in rugby at University of Limerick. When Bohemian RFC and UL merged in 1999, the seed was sown, and the first season for the newly formed AIL was played in 2001-2002. Since then the Women’s Team have gone on to win the AIL 13 times. The Women’s squad also competes in the All Ireland Cup and the Munster Cup. The Women’s Team train twice weekly on Monday at 8pm in UL 4G pitches & Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm at our Club grounds in Annacotty. Women’s rugby is a dynamic and skilful sport combining athleticism and strength. The game caters for all shapes and sizes, and we are always looking for new recruits, so if you have any interest please contact us today.

Training
5 – 7 year old groups
10.30am – Annacotty pitches
Mixed and revolves around fun, enjoyment, physical development and fundamental movements for all sports.
7yr – 11yr
10.30am – Annacotty Pitches
This is a transitional group, where the fundamentals of rugby are learnt as well as some light tackling technique development. Great for developing confidence and ball skills and coordination.
The fundamental physical development is maintained and fun interactions. These sessions are coached by the senior women’s team players.
Training is on Monday and Wednesday
Game days – Saturdays
Full squad Gym Session Monday – 7pm – 8pm UL
Red & Blues Tuesday @ Annacotty Pitches 7pm – 9pm
Red & Blues Thursday @ UL4G Pitches 7pm – 9pm
